InDesign - Level One Outline
General Course Information:
As courses can be customised to suit, condsider this
as a general guide. Face-to-face courses are offered, but not restricted to, the
Sydney metropolitan area. Other requirements will be considered on request.
Description: This
course is an introduction for students who would like to learn
desktop publishing using InDesign.
Learning Outcomes - on
completion participants will be able to:
- Navigate in InDesign
- Create documents using set-up, text and graphics
- Use master pages and multiple pages
- Apply character and paragraph formatting
- Import and manage graphics
- Create styles and numbering
- Create and edit tables
- Use the story editor
- Use typography techniques and type effects
- Create a Table of Contents
Target Audience:
Designed for participants with little or no knowledge of InDesign or desktop
publishing.
Prerequisites:
Participants should have general computer and word processing skills
and be proficient using mouse and keyboard.
Methodology: A
hands-on approach is taken during this course and participants will create various document from scratch. The exercises are
designed to impart relevant skills and knowledge through practice.
